A Pittsburgher at heart, a Sarasotian with pride. I am a proud father of two boys, a loyal husband and am honored and privileged to be an American.
I began my career into real estate 9 years ago and have been working full time in real estate since. I worked with a national builder, Lennar Homes for five years and now broker my own real estate office, Bill Travers Real Estate. Previously I spent ten years in Ophthalmology as a technician.
I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs.

Hi Bill,
I read your bio and wanted to invite you to an amazing biz op meeting this Saturday! Kids are welcome...it's Healthy Chocolate and I am launching it in Sarasota. Baseball great Wally Joyner will be calling in to tell everyone about his success with not only the health benefits of this chocolate but the money side of it too! Please come and bring your family! Details are 556A Pineapple Avenue 10am-12pm...a fun event to go to after the Farmer's Market!
I am going to go play today at 12:15 if you are interested, the turnout has been a little light on Tuesday afternoon, I think we had 10 skaters last week.
I also wear white on Sunday, a practice Pens jersey that I have had for years. I would have been there today but we took the girls to Weeki Watchee Springs to see the mermaids for Mother's day. I plan on playing next Sunday so maybe we can finally meet then, however I am meeting a few friends Thursday night at the Ale House in Sarasota to watch game 4 you are wlsomce to join us around 7:15. I just started playing last March so my skills on the ice are developing. I did play some dek, roller, and street hockey when I was younger so I am pretty comfotable handeling and shooting the puck but my skating has a long way to go. I really enjoy the exercise and comerarity (sp?). Looking forward to skating with you soon.
I usually play Sunday morning at 7:00 am but not tomorrow morning. I also play Tuesdays at 12:15 and Fridays at 12:15 with Norm Fosters group in Ellenton. I took about 5 weeks off with bronchitis but I am back playing now. I saw your name was on Norm's e-mail list. Do you play much yourself?
I was visiting amazon.com tonight to check out a phenomenal artist; Victor Wooten. This guys is unbelieveable. But something came to mind, each one of his songs on Amazon.com can be purchased for $0.99. Some songs were 7:11 minutes in time and one of them was only 2:56 minutes. Regardless, they all were the same price of $0.99.
Sure each song is original. Was the 2:56 song time worth more money than the 7:11 song? It must be if it were shorter and could still bring the same cost. Or was the 7:11 not as good since you got more music for the same price? In real estate, we analyze with cost per sq. ft. A buyer can see the benefit in paying a little more for the floor plan or because the home was freshly painted in today’s earth tone neutral colors that make it a move in ready home. We know that preserve, lake, pond and all the other goodies bring more to market value but do we take into account that a home can be just the right price for the sweet sound it put out? Something to think about.
We are adults and should know how to control ourselves and how to manage money. The majority of people in this mess right now with foreclosures and debt are the ones that went hog wild with using their equity to go out and blow money on all their materialistic cravings.
The candy store was open and they couldn’t hold back. This is typical Americana with the lack of discipline for saving. I could only imagine the work force in about 20 years when all those folks in my generation find themselves without any retirement to live on and they are wrestling with the youth to find jobs just to survive. Now you got the gas guzzler SUV (from the HELOC) in the driveway, the pool you added (from the HELOC), the plasma TV on your wall (from the HELOC) and the condo or home you decided to buy (from the HELOC and no-doc loan) since you and everyone else decided you are “A REAL ESTATE INVESTOR”.
