I love chatting up people from all walks of life, which makes Sarasota a great place to be since people migrate here, and visit here, from all over. Probably that's because I am a writer, and I am always intrigued by everyone's stories. My background workwise is a bit eclectic. I worked in corporate public relations and marketing for many years and now have my own PR/marketing business working with gourmet food producers nationally and with a selection of Sarasota-based businesses. I also am a trained business and life coach. Those two disciplines mesh very well believe it or not. On the personal side, I am happily single and like to hang out with friends and enjoy all of the fun activities we have here.

Best thing about living in Sarasota
So many fun and interesting things to do with fun and interesting people.
Worst things about living in Sarasota
Not having enough time to take advantage of all Sarasota has to offer.
Interests & Hobbies
Love to hang around downtown at the farmer's market, bookstores or have coffee on the sidewalk and people watch. Also like to spend time on Siesta Key chatting with the locals and the tourists. I'm a foodie, and I love to cook and drink good wine with my friends. I am a bit of an information junkie and am interested in everything from quantum physics (for dummies) to comparative religions. I almost always have a writing project going. Right now I'm working on a children's book and kicking around a couple of ideas for some fiction projects.

I worked in Internet marketing for many years and am still active online. I too love to write and do that each and every day on my blog. Great to have you part of Sarasota Local.
Hi Sue,
You look very familair and I am sure that we have met downtown somewhere; Sarasota has fewer than six degrees of separartion, it seems. Since you are a writer, I assume you are also a reader-- if you'd like to contribute to "What Are You Reading?" for AnythingArts.com, let me know. Rick
Your secret is safe with me, lol! But isn't it much easier being a Pittsburgh fan than a Cleveland fan anyways? I went into business with my dad (helped him start a service business here in Sarasota which was operating in Ft. Myers/Naples only-no longer there though). But we love it Sarasota, only time it's tough is during those Sundays in the fall, and yes I too remember 3 Rivers fondly. . .many a cheer, beer and tear shed there! You should join our Pittsburghers in Sarasota group, Akron's close enough!
Welcome to the community! We probably just missed you today at the farmer's market. . . beautiful day. Been down in Sarasota about the same amount of time and agree with you; great place to live, not enough time to soak it all in.
Also, if you have any comments, suggestions or questions about the community, please let us know. We love the feedback.
