i have reviewed many sarasota local's participants' responses to the question of what they find to be the worst thing about sarasota. many respond by stating "why focus on the negative?" others list the summer humidity. your response is the only one i found where too many of a given group of people is identified as the worst thing about sarasota. i think they call this prejudice, rich. aren't we all god's children worthy of love?

Dr. Swier;

Thank you so much for speaking at the "Surge Of Support" launch that took place yesterday, June 27th, 2008 at the Hilton.

I am so proud that my local board of Realtors initiated this program and I was truly moved by all that spoke at this event.

Your quote on "American's helping American's" is what its all about. I never served in our great military but there is a special place in my heart for the armed forces and all that they stand for in this great country.

In hopes that others here in SarasotaLocal find this post, I would like to post here the great quote by President JFK that you used in your presentation. I wish every liberal and/or anti-war person takes this to heart, as it came from one of the most respected Democrat Presidents of our time:

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

I appreciate and thank you for serving in our armed forces.

Respectfully yours,
Bill Travers
